How to compose a KIT
Each kit consists of 3 or more parts:
1.Attachment to the vehicle (motorcycle, motor vehicle, boat, truck, forklift, etc etc) can be ring-shaped, for mirror, suction cup, handlebar, clamp, flat, magnetic, etc etc;
2. Bracket with ball diamenter depending on the weight of the device to be supported, and three lengths, i.e. small, medium or large. For more information visit the page on the size guide
3. GPS attachment, usually called a faceplate or cradle, is built specifically for each type of GPS (Tom Tom, Garmin, PDAs, Cell Phones), or tablet (Apple, Samsung, Panasonic) or smartphone (Huawei, iPhone, Galaxy) so it varies depending on the model and brand of GPS you have (see illustration).
For example, the Support for Tom Tom XL, RAM-B-272-TO5U for mirror is composed of the following components:
Part RAM-B-272U is theattachment to the motorcycle, RAM-B-201U is the bracket, RAM-HOL-TO5U is the ‘ attachment to the GPS, the faceplate or craddle.
This kit includes an additional piece, RAM-B-238U, which is a connector between the bracket and the faceplate that holds the GPS.
By simply changing the RAM-HOL-TO5U faceplate, the holder becomes adaptable to different types of GPS. For example, if you have a GPS Tom Tom and a Garmin, with the replacement of only the faceplate you can use the same kit to support both types of satnavs.
For example, by replacing the RAM-HOL-TO5U faceplate with the RAM-HOL-GA21U faceplate and then the RAM-B-272U base with the RAM-B-309-1 base, the kit becomes adaptable to Garmin GPS on a scooter with bolts
In this way, you will be able to build endless kits adaptable to all GPS navigators, GARMIN, MAGELLAN, PDAs, CELLULARS and on all types of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
